We recently had the pleasure of working with the coolest of cool couples, Tayla and Ryan, on their Autumn wedding day in Melbourne. When these two approached us, they were looking for a modern and stress-free wedding planning experience. They wanted to keep the vibes high and the admin low. In this Champagne Electric journal, we'll dive into the details of the Champagne Electric package and explain how it made Tayla and Ryan’s wedding planning journey a seamless and enjoyable one. Plus, we'll provide some insights and tips for anyone planning their own wedding, including the beautiful touches that made Tayla and Ryan’s day so darn special.

The Champagne Electric Package

Let's take a closer look at our Champagne Electric package and see why it was a perfect fit for Tayla and Ryan. This comprehensive package includes all your key vendors and services for your wedding, including:

Celebrant

Our team will help you to choose the right celebrant for your wedding ceremony. Be it bubbly, genuine, funny, crass or all of the above, your celebrant will work with you to create a personalised and memorable ceremony that reflects your values and story. Whether you’re a couple that wants a full narrative of your love tale or a short and sweet option, our celebrants have got you. Our celebrants can also stay on as MC for your reception!

Photography

We will book you a kick-ass wedding photographer to capture every special moment of your big day. They are your biggest cheerleaders whose job it is to make sure you feel comfortable and oh so free on your big day. You will receive beautiful pictures, hard copy and digital, that you can cherish for years to come, including portraits, candids and family photos. Our photographers can capture what’s important to you, from your morning get-ready to your last guest on the dance floor.

Florals + Styling

Our team will work with you to create a stunning floral and styling concept that matches your mood board, colour palette and budget. We will coordinate the delivery and set up of your chosen decor on the day. Our florals are plastic and foam-free, and we innovatively set up the flowers in your space to use reusable vessels and make it easier for the florals to have a second life in our take-home florals service. If external vendors are booked, we will liaise with them to integrate our ideas into a masterpiece.

Entertainment

We will book live music and/or a DJ for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. You can choose from a variety of musicians, including single acts and duos. Our DJs will keep your guests dancing until the end of the night. We will provide all the sound equipment needed to create a fantastic atmosphere.

Coordination

Our expert wedding coordinators will not only be there to manage your day from start to finish, but work with you in the lead up to be your collaborator. We will ensure that everything runs smoothly and according to your timeline. You can sit back and relax, knowing that you and your guests are in capable hands.

The Collab Process

When Tayla and Ryan approached us, they came with a clear vision of what they wanted for their big day - a modern and fun wedding with festival vibes. They had guests travelling from interstate and a close knit crew of mates and family, and they wanted the day to be a celebration for all. They were attracted to our Champagne Electric package as it offered them a streamlined approach to planning their wedding, included everything they were looking for, and they had full trust that we would hook them up with their dream team.

We began by working closely with Tayla and Ryan to develop a mood board, colour palette, and styling preferences. We worked on a playful and celebratory citrus themed affair. We nutted out their non-negotiables and got to work communicating this with their dream team. We used our network of trusted vendors to source everything from flowers to music, and the result was a cohesive, well-executed celebration that exceeded their expectations.

Throughout the planning process, we communicated regularly with Tayla and Ryan to ensure that everything was up to their standards. We kept an open dialogue with them, keeping them informed of any changes and updates. This allowed us to plan effectively with a clear understanding of their vision. A detailed run sheet was shared with all of the vendors.

On the day of the wedding, our team was on-site from the early setup to the last dance. We ensured everything ran smoothly so that Tayla and Ryan could relax and enjoy their special day. It was rewarding to see the couple, their family and friends having the time of their lives.

The Wedding Day

The courtyard at the Abbotsford Convent was the perfect setting for their intimate ceremony.

On the big day, the Abbotsford Convent was transformed into a stunning, celebratory space. The ceremony was held in the charming courtyard, which was decorated with lush florals, wine barrels, bright signage and foliage in pots. The couple wanted an intimate and warm ceremony, and it was delivered to perfection by their celebrant, Sarah.

Aly captured perfect images of Tayla, Ryan and their loved ones getting ready, and then made her way to the Convent where she shot all of the aesthetic details. Her photos of Ryan and Tayla’s ceremony were bright and full of love, like the couple themselves.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and canapes, along with live music by the Champagne Electric duo. The atmosphere was lively, and the mood was set for a celebration like no other.

The Champagne Electric duo moved from the acoustic ceremony outside to their fuller setup inside the Rosina Room.

The couple went with their bridal party to get photos around the grounds, and managed to stay dry the entire time despite the incoming rain announcements! Their outfits and florals really popped in the lush green, orange and red autumn surrounds.

The reception was held in the enchanting Rosina Room, evocative of the old brewery with exposed beams and large arched windows. The space was elegantly styled with florals, fruit, disco balls and hanging baskets, bringing the couple's dream vision to life. Velvet couches and side tables provided an alternative seating option for guests.

The bar feature inside the Rosina Room.

Hanging ferns and disco balls gave the oversized space a welcoming feel.
Mixed arrangements combined the couple's preferences for natives, tropical and fruity aesthetic.

Sarah stayed on as MC, keeping the evening’s formalities on track and making sure all of the upcoming speakers were comfortable. When the night kicked on, our resident DJ/sax man Jaaz had the room in full on party mode.

A live saxophone really adds an interactive element to an already lively dance floor!

Tayla and Ryan added personal twists to the wedding reception, with a flash tattoo station where guests could choose from the designs created by the couple themselves - it was a unique and unforgettable touch to the wedding. They also sent out espresso martinis and hot chippies as the dance floor raged on.

The couple's flash tattoos, which they got on the wedding night!

A final touch as part of our package was to wrap up the florals for guests to take home as they left, minimising wastage and keeping the beautiful bright florals going for just that little bit longer.

These flowers and many more were wrapped up in butcher's paper and twine for guests to take home.

Tayla and Ryan's wedding is an excellent example of what we do best - creating magical wedding experiences for our clients. Our Champagne Electric package is designed to streamline the wedding planning process and deliver a comprehensive and seamless experience.

By working closely with Tayla and Ryan, we were able to help them bring their vision to life while taking the stress out of the planning process. From the celebrant to musicians, florals and styling to the live entertainment, the Champagne Electric package provided an all-inclusive wedding experience.
